The Watcheye B AIS transponder is now available with wifi, the Watcheye B wireless. With the standard qualitative functions of the B, the B wireless has in addition the functionality to send the AIS information wireless to your tablet, plotter or laptop. Watcheye has always been ahead with wireless communication and developed the wifi Wave earlier, as a stand-alone device for data transfer. While there’s an increasing amount of applications, combined with an increasing question for wireless equipment, we are pleased to add the B wireless to our products.
The Watcheye B AIS transponder is a valuable piece of on board equipment, especially vital in open waters and during regattas. There is a clear view of what is happening which in turn leads to more safety. AIS offers information about other vessels within a certain range and transmits your information as well. So AIS is basically all you need.
The Watcheye B AIS transponder has to be connected to a VHF antenna. It is also possible to connect it to the Watcheye S AIS splitter, which divides the VHF signal between AIS and VHF. To display the AIS data it must be connected to a chart system; such as a plotter, PC or tablet.
Version without wireless Pro version
Watcheye offers a special GPS antenna, whenever the internal antenna is insufficient. In our opinion the mini GPS is the best solution, as it is very small yet strong and it can be mounted on deck.
